With summer approaching, the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation is considering adding cafes to some Brooklyn parks.
According to the Parks Department, one of the possible cafes would be at the park house on Tillary Street and Cadman Plaza West at Cadman Plaza Park.
City officials say they are also thinking about adding another cafe near the Brooklyn War Memorial.
While many residents say they are concerned that the cafes will bring smells, garbage and long lines, many agree it is a good idea.
"Slightly easier access to some treats, it's a very popular park, I got kids who probably would love to have some stuff there," says Dan Krebs, of Brooklyn Heights.
