Skaters in Brooklyn will have a new place to practice their ollies and kick flips after the city opened a new skate park in Canarsie.
The park, which was built by the NYC Parks Department, is the 16th in the city and was publicly funded, mostly from Councilman Lew Fidler (D-Canarsie).
Officials say that they are happy to see kids going outside and exercising, no matter how they choose to.
