The New York City Parks Department is advising residents to watch where they barbecue at parks.
Not all Brooklyn parks allow grilling and in the ones that do, people have to remain in designated grilling areas within the park.
The areas are listed on maps around the park and on the Parks Department's website.
People grilling also have to be at least 10 feet away from a tree to help prevent any fires. People caught grilling in an illegal area could face a $250 fine.
