The St. Peter's University Peacocks have done the impossible. They have become the first No. 15 seed team to advance to the Elite Eight in the NCAA college basketball tournament.

PEACOCK PRIDE: Social media lights up over St. Peter's win over Purdue
The St. Peter's University Peacocks have done the impossible. They have become the first No. 15 seed team to advance to the Elite Eight in the NCAA college basketball tournament. St. Peter's defeated Purdue Univesity 67-64 Friday night.
Social media went wild because of the team's victory.
St. Peter's Unversity is a small Jesuit school located in Jersey City. Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop was one of the first people to offer his congratulations.
Gov. Phil Murphy attended the game with first lady Tammy Murphy.
He also offered his congratulations.
New Jersey Transit said "Next stop: Elite Eight. What a way to celebrate National Peacock Day."
The New Jersey Devils also chimed in.
Eli Manning said he has been cheering for the Peacocks for years.
The Peacocks will have the chance to continue their run this Sunday.
