A pedestrian was killed and several others, including an infant, were injured in a three-car crash at Bronx River Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard Sunday.
Witnesses say the woman was crossing the street when she was hit by a livery cab and pinned underneath. Workers from a nearby tire shop reportedly came to the scene with a jack to help emergency workers attend to the woman.
The woman was taken to Jacobi Hospital. She died late Sunday.
Another livery cab and a van with Pennsylvania plates were also involved in the crash. Eight other people were injured in the accident. Officials say they remain in serious, but not life-threatening condition
