1h agoA pep rally was held for the Erasmus Hall football team as they got cheers and support for their sendoff to London.
Family members, city officials and Erasmus Hall staff expressed their excitement for the players and coaches of the football team as they get ready to play the NFL Academy on Oct. 10 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
“Just the expansion of our brand, as far as the school is concerned and representing New York City and the PSAL, it means the world to me,” said head coach Danny Landberg.
Landberg says the opportunity came after they received an invitation from Nike. After getting the OK from the Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL), state government and school, they were all set.
The team leaves for London on Oct. 5 and returns on Oct. 11.
