A church in Brooklyn Heights is exhibiting photographs of the ongoing refugee crisis in a bid to raise awareness about turmoil in war-stricken countries.
The "Facing America Exhibit" at St. Ann and the Holy Trinity Church on Montague Street has 19 portraits of refugees from the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa. All of them have since resettled in New Haven, Conn.
The church's pastor, the Rev. John Denaro, says it's important for people in his community to be aware of what is going on around the world.
The exhibit runs through March 25.
