A Pine Bush father says his 15-year-old son is recovering after what he describes as another violent attack at school — the latest in what he says has been more than a year of ongoing bullying.
Corey Peters says the most recent incident happened last week at Pine Bush High School, where he says his son was “picked up, dropped on his head, punched and kicked.”
News 12 reviewed a supporting deposition filed with state police, in which the teen says another student threw him to the ground, punched him in the head and caused a cut that required medical treatment.
Peters also showed News 12 medical records from Garnet Health Medical Center stating that his son was treated for a head injury and laceration.
Peters says his son suffered a deep cut to his head that required staples.

“He’s been bullied for quite some time now, and he’s emotionally distraught,” Peters said.
Peters says the incidents date back to middle school. He provided News 12 with video that he says shows his son being attacked in a Crispell locker room last year.
He also claims that his son was strangled by another student on a school bus in February.
“For like 20 seconds - busted capillaries in his face felt like he was going to pass out,” he said.
Peters says his son is smaller than many of his classmates and believes he has been repeatedly targeted by a group of students who know each other. He says he believes the behavior continues because there isn’t enough accountability.
“In my eyes, I blame the school,” Peters said.
The family says they have reported multiple incidents to school officials, but still have questions about how the situation is being handled and what is being done to stop the attacks.
“They don’t have answers about why this keeps happening or what’s being done to stop it,” Peters said.
The family says the district is now paying for a private tutor for the rest of the school year, as the teen is afraid to return to school.
State police confirm they are investigating the most recent incident.
