A plan to spruce up hundreds of subway stations in the Bronx appears to be stalled.
The plan calls for each of the city's 468 subway stations to get a fresh coat of paint, at the rate of about 35 each year. The MTA set aside millions to do it during last year's budget talks. However, no schedule has been set and no contractors hired. Despite the lack of progress, an MTA spokesperson says all the stations will ultimately get that fresh coat of paint.
