Hundreds of poetry lovers gathered at the Brooklyn Bridge to support art Monday.
They walked across the bridge to benefit Poets House, a 60,000-volume poetry library and literary center on the other side of the bridge in Manhattan.
After walking across the bridge, the group gathered at Jane's Carousel for a special presentation by Pulitzer Prize winner Sharon Olds, in which she read "Crossing Brooklyn Ferry" by Walt Whitman.
Actor Bill Murray was one of the 300 poetry fans who partook in the poetic pilgrimage.
