Poetry lovers celebrated what would have been Walt Whitman's 200th birthday on Saturday.

Whitman was a Brooklyn resident and lived in the Clinton Hill neighborhood, in an area that is now the Pratt Institute.
On Saturday, the Walt Whitman Initiative unveiled a street sign marking the area he lived as Walt Whitman Way.
Organizers say they have now deemed the day as Walt Whitman Way Day.
