Police are investigating a deadly double shooting that happened Monday night in Bushwick.

Officers responded around 10:01 p.m. to 1233 Putnam Ave. near Central and Evergreen avenues after getting a 911 call about gunfire.

When they got there, they found two men shot.Police say 39-year-old Ramel Fisher was shot in the stomach. He was taken to Brookdale University Hospital where he later died.

A 63-year-old man was also shot—he was hit in the eye and is now in stable condition.

Video from the scene shows officers going into a home and using flashlights to search under parked cars. Detectives were also seen marking bullet casings near 1229 Putnam Ave.

Neighbors told News 12 the violence was surprising.

“It’s pretty shocking—it always feels pretty safe in the neighborhood, I would say,” said Nico, who lives across the street. “It’s not like it’s always quiet, but we’ve never felt unsafe.”

So far, no one has been arrested.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
