Police say a 21-year-old man has died following a shooting in Canarsie.

According to police, they received a 911 call around 10:45 p.m. Thursday for an assault in progress in the vicinity of Avenue L and East 94th Street.

Upon arrival, police observed a 21-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head.

A 25-year-old male was also found with a gunshot wound to the right leg.

EMS responded and took both to the hospital.

The 21-year-old was pronounced dead and the 25-year-old is listed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made and the relationship between the two victims is unknown.
