The NYPD says a teenager is in custody after fatally striking a man and injuring another with a car Wednesday in Midwood.

According to police, a 17-year-old driver drove onto a sidewalk at Ocean Parkway and Avenue M at around 9:20 p.m. The 17-year-old hit a 54-year-old man and a 24-year-old man, police say.

Both victims were taken to the hospital where the 54-year-old was pronounced dead. The other victim had minor injuries.

The teen driver was taken into custody and charges are pending.
