Authorities say a person is in custody in connection to the shooting.
Witnesses on Housatonic Drive in the Rivercliff section of Devon told News 12 they heard gunshots around 10 p.m.
Investigators were at the scene talking with witnesses near a house at the intersection of Berkeley Terrace.
People who live in the area said the scenic enclave on the Housatonic River is generally calm and quiet.
Police say the shooting was an isolated incident and has not yet released the suspect’s name.
Authorities asked residents to avoid the area while they completed their investigation.
