        Police: 10-year-old girl fatally struck by vehicle in Williamsburg

        The girl was transported to Brooklyn Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

        A 10-year-old girl was struck and killed by a vehicle at the intersection of Wallabout Street and Wythe Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, according to the NYPD.
        The FDNY says that the girl was struck just after 2:30 p.m.
        Police say she was discovered at the scene with severe body trauma. The girl was transported to Brooklyn Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
        Neighbors tell News 12 that the girl was walking home from school when the incident took place. They add that a good Samaritan came out of nowhere to help the girl after she was struck.
        Officers say that the driver of the vehicle that struck the 10-year-old remained at the scene and no arrests have been made.
