Police are searching for a suspect in the shooting of a 10-year-old girl in The Bronx.
Officials say the young girl was shot on her way home from school at East 169th and Fox streets at around 2 p.m.
The girl was taken to Bronx Lebanon Hospital, according to police. There is no word on the girl's current condition.
Officials say the girl was not the intended target in the shooting and that police are searching for a suspect.
