Police say a 15-year-old boy is recovering after he was shot Friday night in Claremont Park.
News 12 was told a 911 call led police to discover the teen with a gunshot wound to the chest around 11 p.m.
Police say when they arrived, two men on scooters approached the scene with a gun. They say an officer fired a gun in their direction, but no one was struck.
A resident of the neighborhood claims he heard seven gunshots fired from the area.
It’s unclear if the two men on the scooters shot the teenager. Police say one of the men was taken into custody and his firearm is in their possession.
