Police: 15-year-old boy shot in the leg in Mount Hope; shooter at large

Investigators say they responded to a call of shots fired on Valentine Avenue at around 10:30 p.m.

A teenage boy is recovering in the hospital after being shot Tuesday night in Mount Hope, according to police.

Investigators say they responded to a call of shots fired on Valentine Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. When they arrived to the scene, they found a 15-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his leg.

The boy was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi where he's currently in stable condition.

Police described the shooter as a man who wore all gray clothing.
