Police: 16-year-old ambushed, stabbed at Downtown Brooklyn subway station

While at the Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center station, the 16-year-old was approached by eight people a little after 4 p.m. and asked if he was in a gang.

Police say a 16-year-old boy was stabbed Tuesday at a subway station in Downtown Brooklyn.
While at the Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center station, the 16-year-old was approached by eight people a little after 4 p.m. and asked if he was in a gang. The group then kicked and punched the teen multiple times.
One of the suspects is accused of stabbing the boy in the backside and torso with a sharp object.
The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
It's unclear where the suspects fled to. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police.
