Authorities say a 16-year-old female was shot in the head in Queens Wednesday night.
According to the NYPD, the shooting was near a school playground in front of 121-14 Lucas St. Two groups of kids got into an argument. The victim's group went to leave and entered a vehicle when the other group fired at the car and struck the victim.
The 16-year-old is in critical condition.
Police arrived at the scene at around 8:30 p.m.
No other injuries were reported.
