A person opened fire in Canarsie Saturday morning, sending two people to the hospital.

It happened just before 6 a.m. near the intersection of Avenue N and Canarsie Road.

Police say a 30-year-old man was shot several times in the leg and a 28-year-old woman was shot in the head. Both are expected to be OK.

Investigators have not released any details on possible suspects.

So far, no arrests have been made.
