Police say a double shooting has left two people dead early this morning in Williamsbridge.

According to the NYPD, the shooting happened inside an apartment building at the Pelham Parkway Houses.

Police responded to 2425 Williamsbridge Road just after midnight and found a man and a woman shot in the hallway of the fifth floor. The 41-year-old female victim, identified as Kristina Jones, was shot in the neck and rushed to Jacobi Hospital, where she died.

Police say the suspected shooter, a 42-year-old man, was already dead when police arrived with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Police say there was potentially a current or prior relationship between the two.
