Police say two men were killed in crash that involved an oil tanker truck in Islip early this morning.

Police say two men were killed in crash that involved an oil tanker truck in Islip early this morning.
They say a Honda Accord was traveling southbound on Route 111 when it veered into the northbound land, striking an oil tanker truck at the intersection of Ironwood Street at around 3:35 a.m.
The driver and passenger of the Honda were pronounced dead at the scene. The men have not yet been identified.
The driver of the oil tanker truck, Turk Laurinavicius of West Babylon, was not injured.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
The crash happened at the intersection of Islip Avenue and Ironwood Street.
The cab of the fuel truck and the crushed vehicle came to a rest in front of a house on Islip Avenue.
There's no word yet on how the accident happened, how many people were involved and the extent of the injuries.
Islip Avenue was closed Saturday morning from West Tamarack Street to Ironwood Street.
