Police are searching for two people who they say robbed a Bedford-Stuyvesant deli at gunpoint last weekend.
Police says that around 8 p.m. Saturday, two young men held up the Jerannie Deli Grocery on Nostrand Avenue. The incident was captured on surveillance video.
The deli's owner says one man wearing a hooded sweatshirt entered the store asking to play the lotto. When told to wait his turn, the owner says he stormed out and later returned with the second suspect, who was wearing a mask and holding a gun. They ordered everyone inside to the back of the deli before stealing money.
The thieves made off with about $1,000 in cash. No one was injured.
Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS
