Police are searching for two men who they believe were involved in the fatal shooting of a 27-year-old man Sunday night.
Police responded to reports of a man shot in front of 2415 Clarendon Road just before 9:30 p.m. Officers say they found Kareem Summerville with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
Summerville was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Police were on scene throughout the night and early morning investigating.
Investigators say it appears that there was some sort of dispute before the incident – but it is not clear what it was about.
A witness says he called 911 when he heard a gunshot and screams. That is when he discovered Summerville laying on the floor. He says he saw someone going through the victim’s pockets, taking the victim’s pants and shoes just before police arrived.
Officials say they are searching for at least two men, who they say were seen running from the scene toward Bedford Avenue moments after the shooting.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
