Three people were hospitalized when shots rang out on Chester Street Friday.

Police say it happened near 421 Chester St. shortly before 6 p.m. 

Police say a 23-year-old woman was shot in the torso, a 24-year-old man was shot in the leg, and a 37-year-old man was shot in the torso. News 12 is told all three are in stable condition.

No arrests have been made. Police have not identified any suspects or how many people are believed to be responsible. It is not yet clear what led to the shooting.

Authorities closed off a stretch of Chester Street as they scoured the scene for evidence.
