Police are searching for three men accused in a string of burglaries in the borough.

Police say the break-ins occurred at several apartments on Aug. 18 and 27. They happened at homes on Bailey Avenue, Van Cortlandt Park West, Putnam Avenue West, Hillman Avenue and Gouverneur Avenue.

In each case, police say the suspects broke the cylinder lock on the front doors before removing items such as cash, jewelry and small electronics. The suspects are believed to be between 30 and 40 years old.
