An unidentified 43-year-old man was shot and killed in East Flatbush late Sunday night.

It happened around 11 p.m. on East 49th Street, between Foster Avenue and Avenue D.

Police say they got a ShotSpotter alert, rushed to the scene, and found the victim on the ground.

According to police, he had numerous gunshot wounds to his head and chest.

He was rushed to Brookdale Hospital but did not survive.

Investigators are still searching for the suspect or suspects, and at this point have not released any sort of description.
