Six Brooklyn men were arrested after a major drug and weapons bust in East New York.
Officers from the 75th Precinct were led to an apartment in a building on Eldert Lane after a call of shots fired came in just after 5 p.m. Friday.
Police say when they arrived at the apartment and tried to talk to the people inside through the locked door, they noticed one man throwing a firearm from the apartment's balcony and a second man throwing a plastic bag.
Officials say police recovered numerous firearms inside plastic bags and that the men inside the apartment surrendered without incident.
Police arrested Brian Capeline and Ernest Cooper, both 22; 39-year-old Troy Hally; 23-year-old Alejandro Lopez; and 20-year-old Calief Persaud, all of East New York.
Police also arrested 31-year-old Gregory Littlejohn, of Flatbush.
Officers say they found a shotgun on the living room floor of the apartment as well as marijuana, cocaine residue, ammunition and more than $1,000 in cash.
The men are facing a number of charges ranging from criminal possession of a weapon to tampering with physical evidence and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Officials say some of the men arrested have previously been convicted for criminal possession of a weapon.
