Attacker on the run after slashing man’s face on Coney Island

An overnight shooting in Midwood has sent a man to the hospital, police say.

According to authorities, the shooting took place near multiple car dealerships on Nostrand Avenue and Avenue M just before 11:30 p.m. A 22-year-old man was shot once behind the right ear and taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Police say seven people fled the scene in a white U-Haul sprinter van with unknown plates.

No arrests have been made at this time.
