Police say a 7-year-old boy was pushed to the ground by two teens in Williamsburg on Friday.
The incident happened on the other side of 69 Lynch Street. Police say both teens fled the scene.
Community members say they believe the boy was pushed for being Hasidic. Police say they aren't calling the incident a hate crime, but at this time they're still in the preliminary stage of their investigation.
Former New York Assemblyman Dov Hikind condemned the crime on social media.
