317ds agoPolice say a woman was killed in a house fire in West Babylon Wednesday night.
According to police, officers responded to 225 Van Buren St. around 9 p.m. after reports of a house fire.
After firefighters extinguished the fire, the body of an 82-year-old woman, identified as Ursel Bauer, was found deceased. Neighbors say the woman lived alone and was very handicapped.
Officials say a preliminary investigation has determined the cause of the fire to be non-criminal in nature.
