A leg has been found in Cypress Hills just days after a torso was discovered inside a garbage bag in East New York.

Police say what appears to be a human leg was found on Jamaica Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Monday.

The discovery is soon after a woman's torso was found inside a garbage bag that was placed in a shopping cart last Thursday on Pennsylvania and Atlantic avenues.

It is unclear at this time if both discoveries are related. No arrests have been made and the medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death.
