Police say a 34-year-old man was shot in the leg outside the Lenox Rental Hall around 11 p.m.
One neighbor says the man has lived in the neighborhood for decades and that his street is typically quiet, with many families.

The victim has not yet been identified. He was taken to Brookdale Hospital after the incident and is expected to survive.
No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
