Police arrest 3rd suspect in Marine Park home invasion

Police say 20-year-old Tyrique Rushing was arrested and charged with sex abuse, grand larceny, attempted murder amongst other charges Friday after he and two others broke into a home on Avenue R in early October.
The three suspects, who have all since been arrested, allegedly slashed a 72-year-old man in the face and sexually assaulted his 71-year-old wife in the early hours of Oct. 8, according to police.

They stole a handgun from the home and two of the suspects fled in the victim's car before being stopped by police near the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel.
The two suspects were arrested, with the police hunting for the third suspect up until his arrest.
