The man who allegedly vandalized a Brooklyn church was arrested Friday.

Police say Ali Alaheri, 29, is the suspect who tore down a state of Jesus Christ at Saint Athanasius in Bensonhurst.

Alaheri is also accused of tearing off an American flag hanging in front of the church and burning it.

He is charged with criminal mischief as a hate crime
