Police: Baby left on doorstep in East New York
Authorities say a baby was left on a doorstep in East New York Friday afternoon.
The 6-month-old girl was left by her mother on the doorstep of a home on Fountain Avenue around 2:30 p.m.
Police say the infant's mother left the child at the home of 46-year-old man who she says is the child's father.
The baby was taken to Brookdale Hospital for an evaluation but appeared to be OK.
Police say the Administration for Children's Services is involved in the investigation, and the child's mother could possibly face criminal charges.
