Police say a 25-year-old Bay Ridge mother abandoned her baby just hours after he was born.
Maria Solana was charged with reckless endangerment and abandonment of a child after police say she put the boy in front of a building, rang several doorbells, and ran away.
Authorities say the baby was taken to Lutheran Medical Center and is OK. Solana's other three young children were put in the custody of the city's Administration for Children's Services.
