A Bronx teacher has been arrested for allegedly possessing and distributing child pornography.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, 26-year-old Joshua Conde, an employee at Bronx House, downloaded sexually explicit pictures of young girls on his home computer. He was arrested Wednesday morning at his home on Morrison Avenue in Soundview.
Authorities say Conde has been charged with three counts of transporting and distributing child pornography. He's due back in court June 15.
Bronx House officials say that a background check on Conde came back clean. They say he has been suspended, effective immediately. Parents who spoke to News 12 The Bronx were shocked to hear of the allegations. Some complained that the Bronx House didn't notify them immediately after his arrest.
