A Brooklyn man died from his injuries after being struck by a car in Gerritsen Beach early Saturday morning.
The incident occurred in front of 2722 Gerritsen Ave. at around 2:45 a.m.
Emergency crews say the victim, identified as Bryan Loughran, was found unconscious and seriously injured at the scene. He was transported to Beth Israel Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say Loughran was hit by Michael Casale, 50, who fled the scene in a Chrysler. He was later found at his home.
Casale is being charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
