They say the crash happened around 8:15 a.m. at the intersection of Blake and Pennsylvania avenues. Police have identified that boy as 7-year-old Payson Lott.
Investigators tell News 12 Lott and his 39-year-old mother were crossing in the crosswalk when a 48-year-old woman identified as Susan Pierrot, behind the wheel of a Jeep and traveling eastbound on Blake Avenue, made a right onto Pennsylvania Avenue and hit both of them in the crosswalk.
