Super Bowl Sunday is just two days away and Gov. Kathy Hochul says police will be cracking down on drunk driving.
The governor says increased patrols and check points will be up and running to keep New Yorkers safe starting Friday night. She says that too many lives are still being lost as a result of drunk driving.
As part of the ongoing Stop DWI campaign efforts, Gov. Hochul says there will be more enforcement of underage drinking. According to AAA, from 2018-2022 they saw the most number of crashes take place after the big game.
AAA is encouraging people to make sure they have a designated driver or plan to use a cab service when getting to and from watch parties.
