An East New York grocery store was robbed of $5,000 on Monday.
Two men entered the supermarket on Arlington Avenue and stole money from the registers while holding the cashier at gunpoint, police say.
As the search for the suspects continues, community organizers made their presence known outside the supermarket. They want to send a message that they will not tolerate criminal behavior in their community, which is home to many local businesses.
Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to contact 1-800-577-TIPS.
