Police say an elderly Brownsville woman's death first thought to be related to natural causes is now being ruled a homicide.
Police say when they came to check on the 82-year-old Myrtle McKenny, they found her lying on the floor below a table inside her Woodson apartment .
They say it was believed McKenny had died from natural causes because of her extensive health issues and age.
However, a funeral director who prepared the woman's body says he discovered a stab wound on the back of her head.
Police say they will be looking through every piece of evidence and will also be investigating how they could have overlooked the stab wound.
