There is a robbery crime spree across New York City, and police say the same group of men is responsible.
The group has been stealing from innocent victims since May of this year, and has committed the same crime at least 28 times, according to police. The men have stolen everything from cars and phones to expensive jewelry.
On Thursday, police released video of three incidents.
The first incident happened back on May 24 in the University Heights section of the Bronx. Just before 2 a.m., police say two suspects, one of them armed, approached a 23-year-old and demanded he hand over his necklace and bracelet. In this case, News 12 was told the two men got away with over $12,000 worth of jewelry.
A a handful of hours later at 10 p.m. over in Westchester Square, it happened again. This time, police say a group of six men, one of them with a knife, robbed a 37-year-old man, getting away with his iPhone, wallet, and keys to his 2018 Toyota Camry. The car was then stolen.
Another noteworthy incident happened the next day in Pelham Gardens just before 5 a.m. Police say four men, one of them carrying a gun, went up to a 34-year-old man and robbed him. The victim's wallet and cellphone were taken.
In each of the incidents, no shots were fired, and no one was hurt.
But police are still searching for answers. If anyone has information, they are asked to call police.
