Police hope a newly released photo will lead them to two manhole cover thieves.
Con Edison reports that more than 30 covers were stolen in Brooklyn, Queens and The Bronx since March.
Police believe the culprits are selling the manholes for scrap metal.
Con Edison says the thieves are endangering lives by leaving gaping holes in the sidewalks and streets.
Officials say one of the suspects is a white male in his 40s, and drives a dark pick-up truck with an orange "Men at Work" sticker.
