A 25-year-old man and woman were shot in Brooklyn Monday night, according to police.

Authorities say Jamel Nicholson and a woman were shot at the Sheepshead Bay NYCHA development on Avenue V at around 5 p.m.

Officers found the 19-year-old woman had been shot in the chest, knee and hip. Nicholson had gunshot wounds to his chest and backside. Nicholson was pronounced dead the hospital.

The 19-year-old woman is hospitalized and expected to recover.

Police say no arrests have been made at this time.
