George Carroll and his wife were on their way home from a date Friday night when a group of people confronted them, sparking an altercation that left him dead on Monitor Street.
On Monday, police identified Garry Correa, a 19-year-old who lives nearby on the Bushwick Houses, as a suspect. They say Correa chased Carroll, 42, down the street and stabbed him in the chest.
NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce says Correa has 13 prior arrests and was identified by witnesses at the scene.
Police are still searching for Correa and ask anyone with information on his whereabouts or the crime to contact them.
