Police identify suspect wanted in fatal shooting of father and stepson in Brooklyn building

Authorities say Bladimy Mathurin, 47, and Chinwai Mod, 27, were shot by a man believed to be an angry neighbor who was complaining about noise coming from the family’s fourth floor apartment.

The NYPD is now searching for a 47-year-old man in connection with the fatal double shooting of a 47-year-old and his 27-year-old stepson. 

Jason Pass, 47, was spotted on surveillance video inside of the apartment building where the homicide took place. This comes after the 47-year-old victim and his 27-year-old stepson who were fatally shot inside 1418 Brooklyn Ave. late on Sunday night.

Authorities say Bladimy Mathurin, 47, and Chinwai Mod, 27, were shot by Pass. Nearby residents say Pass is an angry neighbor who was complaining about noise coming from the family’s fourth-floor apartment.

A vigil in honor of the two men is planned Tuesday. Community leaders and elected officials are expected to come show their support and denounce gun violence.
